Moulin Rouge meets Friends at this turn of the century story of friendship, overcoming all obstacles. Nobody dies. Michael and Alma are opposites in almost everything except one thing: their love of New York City. Though they are both stubborn in their snobbish dislike of each other, there are invisible ties that bind them. Their hate gets tested as they end up as roommates in a Brooklyn railroad apartment where they forge their friendship despite themselves. They are surrounded by a colorful cast of characters and lots and lots of good music.
