It’s 1929, and for the first time in American history, sisters Stella and Ethel can kiss, drink, and vote just as easily as men. But when the stock market crash turns the world on its head, their options disappear overnight. Bio.
Lizzie Osmeña O’Rourke is a junior at Saint Ann’s in Brooklyn and a student at Juilliard Pre-College. She is the composer, lyricist, and librettist of Too Close to the Sun. She has previously won two awards in musical theatre competitions including this year’s EduHam Online award for Outstanding Performance. Lizzie has three brothers and a goldendoodle, Merlin, who is turning four in November.
