“Dunyeti” is a musical exploring identity, love, and allyship in the LGBTQ+ movement in the Middle East. Set in Cairo, Egyptian artist and AUC Professor Yesmine prepares for her engagement, unaware of her cousin’s past with her fiancé. The story weaves culture, love, and self-discovery against the melodies of the Middle East, mirroring the tale of Layla and Majnun.
