17-year-old Evan drowns in an icy lake and is miraculously revived
at the hospital, sending him on a journey through what it means
to live, to love, to die, and to almost die. Exploring his astonishing
near-death experience, he begins to understand the otherworldly
presence that now seeks him, continually pressing him
