A classic tale of tragic decisions in Oyo, an ancient Yoruba city of Western Nigeria.
Based on a century’s old Nigerian Folklore, the play concerns the Yoruba deity, SANGO, who reigned as the fourth Alaafin of Oyo. The stage is anchored for a dramatic climax when SANGO sets two of his most powerful war generals against each other.
It is written in English but includes Yoruba materials.

Bio.
Taiwo Aloba is an emerging playwright whose work involves contemporary and historical themes. With a BA in Theatre Arts and Music and an MA in Creative Writing, she is determined to tell stories that depict the history, richness, and beauty of Nigeria and her people. She was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She has had a 10+year career in entertainment and lives in NYC.
