The Cohens in Covid depicts three generations of men in a Jewish family at the height of the first wave. Mo, unobservant, is sheltering in a one-bedroom Manhattan apartment with his lapsed Grandpa Avram. Binyamin, Mo’s dad, is a Covid-denying Orthodox Brooklyn rabbi. Mo is dating Aliyah, a Black woman who left the city for her Quaker family’s Long Island home, and fears how his family will react.
