Stigmata Martyr deals with themes of the corporeal and the spiritual as Cassius, a trans, tradgoth funeral director (with crippling emotional fatigue) is tasked with embalming the body of an offending pastor, Father Timaeus. With his mortuary skills comes his talent of communicating with any spirit he works on. When Timaeus’ spirit lingers longer than usual, Cas has to find a way to get rid of him

Bio.
Horatio McLaughlin is thrilled to be part of the New York Theater Festival this summer. Horatio is a Long Island-based theatre artist who has recently graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a BA in Theatre Studies. His work focuses on queerness and how it is wrapped up in issues of religious trauma, aiming to unapologetically uplift trans voices in theatre.
