BIOGRAPHY:
Nancy Pop is an award-winning Romanian-American actress, producer, and director based in New York.
Recent credits include Two Bimbos’ December production of BUT I MET YOU ON TV at TheaterLab NYC, voiceover work for the Tribeca Audio Market 2022 official selection radio drama “Burning Gotham”, and directing the feature film “Poets Are The Destroyers” now streaming on RevryTV. She has also produced and starred in several films including “Yes, Mother!”, “New Boo”, “The World's Greatest Spaghetti”, and "Buffalo & Wolfy". Pop received her BA in Theatre Performance and Playwriting from Marymount Manhattan College and has trained with Anthony Abeson, Brian O’Neil, The Second City, Magnet Theatre, Berg Studios, and Pacific Performance Project East.
Originally from Romania, Pop grew up between Transylvania, Pennsylvania, and Northwest Arkansas before moving to NYC at 17 to pursue acting. She is a pescatarian Leo, classically trained pianist, and failed beauty pageant contestant. You may know her from YouTube or Sephora stores for Amika’s “Bust Your Brass” campaign back when she was a peroxide blonde. When she’s not popping around sets, in rehearsals, or holed up at Bushwick Actor Studio, you can find her co-hosting Artists & Beers and SPLASH poetry throughout NYC.
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Pop received her BA in Theatre Performance and Playwriting from Marymount Manhattan College and has trained with Anthony Abeson, Brian O’Neil, The Second City, Magnet Theatre, Berg Studios, and Pacific Performance Project East.
