BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Moriah Shiddat is the Writer and Director of Zula. She is an Alumni of Howard University, Michigan State University and Ohio University. She is a poet and scholar in pan-African studies and integrated social sciences which influences her work. She incorporates historical and contemporary themes related to the intersections of race, gender, culture and society in America. She has been involved in various theater productions since 2003 which has included: Grease, Pirates of Penzance and Anything Goes. In 2018 she staged her first production “Paper Dolls” at the Columbus Ohio Black Theater Festival. She is excited to showcase her second production Zula at the NYC Summer Theater Festival.
