BIOGRAPHY:
Ella Talerico is a twenty one year old lover of all things creative and collaborative. She’s a prolific playwright, director, producer, and songwriter. She’s an alum of Ensworth High School and the National Theater Institute (Playwriting, ‘22), and is currently in her junior year studying Drama at Vassar College. Her highest priorities in life and in art are trust, joy, and love. She loves anything and everything abstract, surreal, weird, poetic, tender, and earnest.
Since starting her playwriting journey, she has written eight feature lengths and several one acts. Her plays It’s Something for Sure!, Biophilia, Sandbags, Birds with Orange Bellies, Salt. Fruit., Wormball, and A Toaster, Some Breadcrumbs, and a Mediocre Answer have all had amateur productions in the past two years. The photos listed are from her most recent productions. Her solo performance piece Fruit. is going up at the New York Theater Festival this December, 2023. Her solo performance piece Salt. was performed as a part of Vassar’s Steerman Short Play Festival.
