BIOGRAPHY:
The multitalented, Jamaican born Dianne Dixon has established herself as one of the most popular Caribbean actors in New York. Her dramatic appearances include Off Broadway productions: Haiti’s Children of God, One of Our Sons is Missing, An Old Woman Remembers, Massinisa- Lord of Thunder and Karl O Brian Williams’ Not About Eve, at The National Black Theater Festival in Winston Salem North Carolina in 2013. She earned excellent reviews in Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Flambeaux. She was nominated for the Audelco Award – twice, as Best Supporting Actress for the musical Jamaica and for the drama Dinner at The Manse. Other appearances include Naisula, the Off-Broadway musical Falling in Love With Mr. Dellamort and the virtual reading of Queen Z by Michael A. Jones. She made her Public Theater debut in a reading of Trey Anthony’s How Black Mothers Say I Love You, directed by Kenny Leon. On television she was seen in the web series We Speak New York. Her most recent cable appearance was in the play Echoes Of A Lost Son. She is a recipient of the NYC Council Award and Proclamation for Excellence in the Arts and The Caribbean Life Impact Award for individuals of Caribbean descent who have made significant contributions to the USA in their respective fields.
