BIOGRAPHY:
Dayle Vander Sande (Detective Dulmirth in Grave Reviews) is tickled to play the broad comedy of this hilarious character, and recently played some "broads" among the 9 characters comprising the D’Ysquith Family in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder this past February with the Heights Players (Brooklyn). Recent roles include Scrooge in Menken's A Christmas Carol (directed by Chris Carver), with Narrows Theater (Brooklyn) with which he has also played Walter Hobbs (Elf), Judge Pitkin (On the Town), and Col. Mustard (Clue); and in a virtual pandemic production, he also played multiple characters as Adult Man in Spring Awakening. With Hudson Classical Theater (NYC) he was seen as Sir John in Sense & Sensibility; with Kings County Shakespeare (Brooklyn) as Lord Capulet (R&J); and as King Leontes (Winter's Tale) with the Ward Studio (NYC); and co-wrote with Vicki Hirsch and performed the one-man show Chekhov on the Wing at the NY Intl and Provincetown Fringe Festivals. Also, this week, he appears as Merlin for the Heights Players' children's theater production of The Sword in the Stone (heightsplayers.org).
