BIOGRAPHY:
David W. Frey is a filmmaker, producer, and creative leader working at the intersection of film and theater storytelling. With practical experience as a 1st Assistant Director, Producer, and Production Manager, David has overseen projects ranging from independent short films and Off-Broadway plays to commercial campaigns in partnership with the Pennsylvania Film Commission.
He has directed teams through every stage of the production process, creating schedules and budgets, coordinating logistics, and managing the challenges of live performances and on-set work—while ensuring the creative vision remains clear amid operational demands. His film work includes the psychological and supernatural short Presage (currently in development) and several award-winning shorts. His theater work features Off-Broadway productions showcased on Broadway’s official platforms. Outside traditional production, David adopts a brand-focused approach, developing social media campaigns, influencer collaborations, and digital strategies for emerging lifestyle brands.
Dedicated to both craftsmanship and innovation, David is expanding his skills in business and analytics. He plans to pursue a Master of Science in Management and Analytics at NYU’s School of Professional Studies next year. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, David continues to blend artistry, leadership, and strategy to bring ambitious ideas to life.
