BIOGRAPHY:
Caitlyn Schmidt is a Brooklyn-born and raised performer. She received her undergraduate degree from SUNY New Paltz in 2022 and went on to earn her Master of Science from New York University in 2024. Caitlyn currently works as a licensed speech-language pathologist, serving both pediatric and adult populations. Caitlyn has appeared in numerous productions throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding areas. Some of her favorite roles include Paulette in Legally Blonde, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense, Charlotte in Cinderella, Carrie in Carrie, Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein, and Wendla in Spring Awakening. One of her most memorable performance experiences was singing as a backup vocalist in Josh Groban’s choir during a stop on his Harmony Tour in 2022. Caitlyn is thrilled to continue balancing her two passions: life onstage and a career in speech-language pathology. She believes both worlds are rooted in communication and connection, and feels beyond lucky to pursue them side by side.
