Five young men struggle to survive their mandatory turn in the Swiss army. Serving under a tyrannical Sergeant who keeps trying to crush their spirits, the men have to face the constant decision of submitting to the army environment or fighting back. A critique of the Swiss militia sytem, Switzerland’s cultivated image of neutrality and military culture worldwide.

Bio.
Stefan Diethelm was born and raised in Switzerland and started performing at a young age. After attending a performing arts college in Germany, he decided to move to New York to continue his training. He met and studied with Eduardo Machado at HB Studio, and received the Christina Kukucka Scholarship for promising new Playwrights. His works have been read and performed in New York and beyond.
