Inspired by a true story. In 1832, fifty-seven Irish immigrants came to America and worked on the Philadelphia-Columbia Railroad (P&C), one of the first railways built in the United States. Six weeks after their arrival, all 57 Irish immigrants died, possibly from cholera. This is their story. The play also subtly refers to the current migrant plight and the recent pandemic.
