“Love, in a violent year” is a play about family, and the secrets that exist between all of us who share a past. It is about social climbers, and the things they will do to climb. But most of all, it is about the things we will do for the ones we love. The basic plot is that a father comes to visit his daughter, and the past they have tried to outrun comes back to haunt them both.
