Blurb
Hysteria is a deliberately queer adaptation of J. S. Le Fanu’s 1872 Carmilla. Dreams and fragmented memories seep into the present as Laura recounts—through letters—her relationship with the vampire that upended her sheltered and patriarchal upbringing. Laura descends deeper into Carmilla’s world and discovers that the two are not as different from each other as she was previously led to believe.

Bio.
Riley K Webster is a performer, director, and sometimes-writer born and raised in the lakes and mountains of southwestern Maine. She recently graduated with her BFA in Musical Theatre from Long Island University Post where she trained in the Physical Text Analysis track and cultivated a deep love for Suzuki and Viewpoints methods under Tina Mitchell, Akiko Aizawa, Jason Jacobs, and Leon Ingulsrud.
