I would without a doubt recommend the New York Theater Festival to any playwright, actor, or stagehand looking to further their experience in live theatre. Upon acceptance, we were met with a level of professionalism and efficacy we had yet to experience in the territory of new works. The structure is sound: receive your dates, attend your tech, and put on your show. Though timelines are tight, the process was streamlined from the start: leaders were attentive, but not overbearing. Expectations were attainable and clear, and flexible when necessary. We were in complete control of our product whilst the Festival supported us from below. The outcome: a personalized, professionally received piece of original New York theatre. A beautiful experience.
