Time: Fall, 1970. Place: A lower Manhattan tenement apartment. A young woman who identifies with Janis Joplin finally realizes that dedication to serving her drug-addled boyfriend is no substitute for living. This is made amply clear when she hears over the radio that Joplin has died in a West Hollywood motel.

Bio.
Michael Cala has been writing or photographing for video, multimedia, and print projects for over 20 years for corporations, medical centers and performing arts venues, healthcare ad agencies, magazines, and the City of New York. He has written over 300 informational, promotional and for-credit educational video and audio scripts, a number of which he produced or directed. Michael also written and published over 900 articles on blues and Americana music for major Blues and Roots Music publications.
