A Boy Named Salmon is a dark comedy, written to question appropriation. 15-year-old regular white boy who learns his great. Grandmother was a student at a residential school in her youth, as his mother reaches for closeness to her grandmother in seemingly appropriative ways, Salmon, too, because of his own ignorance. In turn, this ruins his only friendship, launching him into unlearning his racism

Bio.
Rae McCauley is a Afro-Native American playwright. Their work is inspired by many real life experiences of living in the American South and North. A recent graduate, Rae uses anthropological work to inform Their creative pursuits, often exploring themes of blackness, indigeneity, blurred lines in race, gender, and sex. Along with political identities, and systems old and new.
