Rotten Floorboards is the story of a little girl growing up in a matriarchal household in petrodollar post-colonial Trinidad and Tobago suffering from a severe case of Man-itist. She struggles against society’s invisible barriers. She is nine. Women are her heroes: play is her job.Her secret weapon, her alter ego; SuperflyBopeep, defender of creatures great and small. Aka, riotous troublemaker.

Bio.
Dianne K Ramirez, Born in Trinidad and Tobago, is a NYC award winning artist. A versatile interdisciplinary AEA/Set
Designer/SM/PM/DP/AD she is interested in film, theater and design. She has over 10 years’ experience in the cultural sector. Playwright, Actor, Director, she is the author of Rotten Floorboards the recipient of the 2002 NYFA fellowship for playwriting, Graduate of City College.
