The play follows the story of a mountaineer ‘Tenzing Norgay,’ and his seventh attempt to reach
the top of Mount Everest. The play recalls the night before reaching the summit and his
adventures of escaping the avalanches and snowfall. He was one of the first two individuals to
reach the top, on 29 May 1953.
THIS IS A SOLO PLAY 30 MINUTES LONG AND WILL BE PRESENTED IN THE SAME NIGHT/SHOW SLOT TOGETHER WITH ANOTHER PLAY THAT IS 35 MINUTES LONG. TOTAL RUNNING TIME OF BOTH PLAYS TOGETHER = 65 MINUTES
Playwright’s Bio.
Om Raj Raut is a Nepalese actor and writer who was born in Nepal. After performing at
renowned Theatre village Nepal and Kolkata theatre festival India, his burning desire to travel
the world and getting outside of his comfort zone brought him to the United States to study
Drama with International Dean's Scholarship.
