BIOGRAPHY:
Born in New York City, Yahaira Antonia Vargas, artistically known as Miss YaYa Vargas, is a multifaceted GRAMMY nominated storyteller, of Puerto-Rican and Dominican descent. From touring worldwide as the lead singer of Sergio George’s legendary Salsa fusion group Dark Latin Groove, alongside original member James Da Barba, to being a featured vocalist of internationally touring sensation, Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock and Roll. She shines in theater as Maria in “Checklist - The Play”, as well as being Ringmistress for The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus. YaYa Vargas’ versatility as an entertainer also includes lead role in films like “Make No Misteak”, sketch comedy as a guest of “The HERlarious Show”, and flexing her improv skills at The PIT NYC. She is also a podcaster, as host and writer of both “Wrd.Prspctv” and “Sistah Sistah”.
