BIOGRAPHY:
Sophia Aranda, a first-generation Cuban- Nicaraguan actor and singer, is rooted in New York City's vibrant arts scene. After finishing her training at NYU/Tisch within the Atlantic Theater Company program, she has since showcased her talent in a diverse range of roles in both film and theater. Sophia says: "Every uterus-having person should have the right to decide how they would like to be treated when in the deeply vulnerable and personal process of having a baby. There is a wealth of misinformation regarding the real-life implications of giving birth and having children, and I believe that every opportunity ot tel the stories of those who have taken that step creates the opportunity for necessary discourse and learning! We need more empathy present in the birthing process as well as in the case of someone deciding not to give birth. Im excited to be a part of such a powerful and important project, and I would like to dedicate my performance to all those fighting to protect those rights and to the people who shared their stories in the creation of this play!"
