BIOGRAPHY:
Born and raised in a small coastal town in Andalusia, in the south of Spain, surrounded by the rhythm of the Mediterranean Sea, Sofía Espinosa is an actress and dancer trained at Circle in the Square Theatre School. Before moving to New York, she spent ten years studying and developing her craft in Madrid (LA MANADA Theater Research Center). Daughter of a flamenco dress designer and seamstress, she grew up surrounded by creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for artistic expression. From a young age, she developed a strong connection to the arts, which led her to pursue a career in performance. Guided by the people who surround her and the stories that connect us, she is passionate about creating honest theatre rooted in humanity and truth. Her stage credits include The Frontline, A Head Full of Birds, Swifts Don't Smile and The House of Bernarda Alba.
