BIOGRAPHY:
Salimata (Sali) Diakité is an actor and singer songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. With a background in jazz, a cappella, “speech” and theatre, Sali’s work as a performing artist is driven by her passion to master her craft. She has acted independent projects “28 (a pilot)” “Fat Lips,” and “Burden of Nine Lives,” in the past year. As a vocalist, she has been embracing live, playing with her jazz duo and band: “sali and the babies” has toured the east coast and has headlined at Manhattan and Brooklyn venues like Baby’s All Right, Sultan Room, Mercury Lounge and more. She released her debut EP "charming" in 2021, and her second EP "OTHER PEOPLE" in February 2023.
