BIOGRAPHY:
Rosie Allenson is a classically trained Actor/Singer/Dancer with a fervent passion for storytelling. A recent graduate from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Rosie is excited to apply the wealth of information given to her at school to the iconic live theater industry in New York. New York Theater: WELL HUNG (Ally), ROMEO AND JULIET (Juliet, AADA), BLUE STOCKINGS (Carolyn, AADA). Notable Works: THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (Bianca), PYGMALION (Eliza), PICNIC (Milie), THE CRUCIBLE (Mary Warren), and THE 25TH... SPELLING BEE (Olive). While acting will always be her first love, Rosie also has a growing passion for writing, stage management, politics and gardening (or, rather, the plant section at Trader Joe's, where she works.)
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Rosie Allenson (she/her) graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2023 with her Associate of Occupational Studies. During her time at the Academy, she explored characters including Juliet in ROMEO AND JULIET, Carolyn in BLUE STOCKINGS, Casca in JULIUS CEASAR, Babe in CRIMES OF THE HEART, Karen in THE CHILDREN'S HOUR and Sooze in SUBURBIA, among many others. Before school, Rosie studied under Jennifer Johns-Grasso and Bob Cline through a company called Broadway Artists Alliance, one of Manhattan's foremost training programs for young Musical Theater artists. She was a student there for five summers. Some notable instructors Rosie had the privilege of working with during her time as a student at Broadway Artists Alliance include Gavin Lee, Thayne Jasperson, Clay Thompson (Dance), Randy Graff, Celeste Simone, and Will Roland (Song Interpretation). Rosie has been extensively trained in the Meisner Technique through both the Academy and The Acting Studio.
