Michael Thomas Cain is a writer, director, and producer in and around New York City. In recent years, Michael wrote and directed "When In God's Country, Hide In The Closet" (New York Theater Festival), “Not Approved For Cancer Treatment” (New York Theater Festival), WHERE ART LIVES (UNDER St. Marks Theater), and “Eliminated” (Manhattan Repertory Theatre). In 2012, Michael wrote, directed, and produced ENOUGH’S ENOUGH! at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club as part of the NY International Fringe Festival. Michael is also an award winning filmmaker, and movies that he has written and directed have been award winners and screened at prominent international film festivals. In addition, Michael is the founder of Forgotten Artist Productions (full-service production company) and has earned an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing from Adelphi University and a B.A. in Communications/Theatre from Augusta University. In addition to his creative pursuits, Michael is a college/university educator in and around New York City. Michael is also a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
