BIOGRAPHY:
Michael Susko (Playwright/Director)
An award winning Director/Choreographer/Playwright/Educator MICHAEL SUSKO's work has taken him around the globe. In NYC, his work both as writer and director has been seen at Off-Broadway's THE BIGOT (Starring Stephen Payne), CROSSING OVER (starring Andy Young), Midtown International Fringe Festival, Alternative Theatre Company, Network Theatre Company, Equity Library Theatre and The New Short Play Festival (Artistic Director). Other credits include Arkansas Shakespeare, Theatre Under the Stars, Casa Manana, Cider Mill Playhouse, Theatre by the Sea, PaperMill Theatre, Westchester Broadway, Arizona Broadway and Arkansas Repertory.
Favorite plays directed include THE WHALE, THE CRUCIBLE, NOISES OFF and THE LARAMIE PROJECT. He also served as resident director at the New Bedford Festival Theatre where he helmed many musicals, including their Moss Hart Award winning productions of HAIRSPRAY and LES MISERABLES.
As a performer, Michael has been seen in many Broadway national tours, European tours, and countless regional appearances including stints at The Goodspeed Opera House, Paper Mill Playhouse, Walnut Street Theatre, Theatre Under the Stars, Bristol Riverside, Ogunquit Playhouse, Sacramento Music Circus,and Pittsburgh CLO. He has also appeared in many films, television shows and commercials.
As an educator, Michael taught theatre at Chadron State College in Nebraska and Southern Arkansas University. He also teaches playwriting at ATC
