BIOGRAPHY:
Lucia is a multifaced Italian artist who moved from Italy to New York in 2021. She is a professional musical performer, actress, pianist and director. She was introduced to arts through music: she started playing piano when she was 5 years old, and then when she was 11 she started taking singing classes. She graduated from the Gypsy Musical Academy in 2020 as a musical performer and then moved to New York to find her voice as an actor and director. Among her works she played Eve in a production of Emilia, directed by Ioanna Katzarou, for which she also composed the music; she worked on ancient Greek theater productions such as Trojan Women and Oresteia both in New York and Italy; she also performed in cabarets such as "Serving Sondheim" at The Green Room 42 and she is currently engaged with her production company Thymos Productions LLC. In 2023 she adapted Aeschylus' play "The Suppliant Maidens" and her work will be on stage this coming May at the NY Theater Festival.
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
She has a degree in Musical Theater at the Gypsy Musical Academy in Torino, Italy.
She graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
She has several years of classical piano training.
She participated in many workshops in the West End in London and Italy and worked with artists such as Reece Richards, David Allwood, and Rimi Cerloj.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Trained in IPA, Lucia speaks Italian, Sicilian and English. She is a former artistic gymnastic athlete. She has ballet, modern, and tap dance training. She is a singer. She had a year of training in horse riding. She has relative pitch and can play piano and ukulele.
