BIOGRAPHY:
Gil Cole: Juilliard School (Group 6) 1973-1977. Broadway: Christopher Isherwood’s “A Meeting by the River”; off-Broadway: “Souvenirs” New York Theater Workshop; “Dark at the Top of the Stairs” Roundabout; Joe Papp’s “Henry V” Central Park; several regional theatres. Changed careers in 1985; 30 years practiced psychoanalysis. Retired 2021 and returned to acting. Created solo show: “This Garden Plot” United Solo Show Festival 2021 winner, Best Drama; “Night at the Diner” The Tank, “If Only We Knew” a site-specific “The Three Sisters”, “Denmark” Brooklyn Center for Theater Research, “Lake George” The Chain, “Tryptic of Death” Brooklyn Art House, “True West” Coyotes and Crickets Co.
