BIOGRAPHY:
David Bonderoff (he/they) is a Brooklyn-based director, producer, editor, writer, and comedian whose work focuses on character-driven, queer-inclusive comedy. He developed, directed, and produced the 10-episode digital comedy series The Hosts with writer/actor Ben Odom; the series premiered at NewFest in 2022 and was recently acquired by an LGBTQ+ streaming platform for an exclusive contract. His theater directing credits include Dog Sees God (EPIC Players NYC), The Ally in the Mirror (Caveat), and Unfinish- (NYTF). He continues to build a slate of web series and festival shorts under his production co, BONDEROFF, LLC, winning awards like "Best Comic Character" at the Madcap Comedy Int'l Film Festival and being nominated for awards like "Best Comedy Micro-Film" at the Oregon Short Film Festival. He has over 10 years combined experience directing, producing, acting, editing, and writing comedy. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Stony Brook U and trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, UCB NY’s improv program, and Second City's Grad Revue program in NYC. David started as an actor and co-starred on Syfy’s Happy! and Comedy Central's Tha God's Honest Truth. Beyond his own projects, he helps other comedians develop and produce their work, spends time making art with his daughter, and drinks too much coffee.
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Stony Brook U and trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, UCB NY’s improv program, and Second City's Grad Revue program in NYC.
