BIOGRAPHY:
ANGELIQUE DERRICK - Angelique Jene’ first hails from Monmouth county NJ. She began her acting debut at the young age of 10 as the Little Drummer Boy in Dunbar Productions “Black Nativity”. As a newbie underclassman at Neptune High School, Angelique landed leading roles year after year, later becoming the President of the Thespian Society. She has been with Head of My Life Productions for over 10 years. Above all else Angelique is saved! A mother of 2 beautiful children, Jaylen 16 and Mylea 12, and her beloved fur baby 2-year-old Bentley. Angelique is also a faithful member of The Macedonia Baptist Church where the dynamic Pastor Tommy D Miles is the Pastor. She sings on her praise team and also does praise dance. When she’s not on stage or worshipping she’s working as a NJ State Parole Officer. Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Angelique would like to dedicate her performance to her late Grandmother Marjorie Ruth Simmons who was one of greatest inspirations. Also to her parents as well as her children who cheer her on in all that she does!
