BIOGRAPHY:
Ahona Dias was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and currently resides on Long Island, New York pursuing her career in the performing arts. She earned her BA in Theatre & Performance in May 2023 from Suny Purchase’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Her Purchase Repertory Theatre credits include: Detective 2 in The Attic, Christina in Fefu and Her Friends, & Connie in Dance Nation. Other credits include: Chitra in A Tribute to Tagore: Chitrangada (Senior Performance at Purchase & North America Tagore Festival at Jamaica Performing Arts Center), General Cartwright & ensemble in Guys & Dolls, Irene Rudolph & ensemble in Radium Girls, Adela & ensemble in The Little Mermaid, Catherine Connelly & ensemble in The Laramie Project. EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Ahona Dias graduated with a BA in Theatre & Performance from SUNY Purchase college in May 2023, studying under Rachel Dickstein, Michi Barrall, Lenka Pichlíková, Jordan Schildcrout, Alexander Correria, & many other esteemed professionals. Her training consists of the Michael Chekov Technique, Improvisation, Practical Aesthetics taught by Atlantic Acting School, Writing, Directing and South Asian Classical Dance.
