Whether you are a playwright, actor, or production crew, I highly recommend participating in the NY Theater Festival. The opportunity to see your work come to life is something every creative person should have the moment to experience. The festival not only curates an environment for your show to thrive but an intimate viewing experience for audiences to truly take in the work. The festival operations are clear, the rules and intentions are very well laid out, and the festival team is thorough in supporting your production needs. Most importantly the communication leading up to your performances and tech are immaculate. With response times being almost immediate, so you know whenever you have a question you won’t be left in the dark. That curated an environment where we could thrive and not be focused on potential problems. I particularly want to shout out and thank Victor the lighting designer (provided by the festival for a small fee), who truly aided in us having a smooth technical and performance process. In my opinion, for any new playwright or someone wishing to put their vision out there, this festival is a great gift for you to be able to achieve those goals.
