Best described as a choreopoem, BROWN BOY MAD incorporates elements of film, song, poetry, and even the perspectives of the student actors in an attempt to describe some of the author’s real-life interactions with race and micro-aggressions in “post-racial” America.

Bio.
Sekou Writes has had more than his fair share of lives before surviving a hemorrhagic stroke. Among other things, he has authored several books, ghostwritten a New York Times best-seller, been included in a wide variety of anthologies, written a few regular columns, directed a documentary short film, and even authored an autobiographical stageplay.
