as to why you  will pay a
participation fee:

 

  • We offer a quality venue.
    • This single factor alone will make you feel proud when you invite your family, friends and industry colleagues to your show. 
  • Need set/prop pieces? No problem.
    • What other festival offers you the use of 85 set props/furniture in their storage for free?
  • Where else you get unlimited storage?
    • It’s not fun double parking your truck outside of theaters to find your windshield sporting a new parking ticket. It’s annoying lugging all your props,  (outside set props are not permitted ) and costumes back and forth on the subway throughout the length of your run. Don’t sweat it. We have space- and that’s not easy to come by in NYC!
  • An easy-to-use light board.
    • Where else will you get a large  lighting plot , complete with LED lights that can flush a full range of deep color to your scenes. 
  • Got projections?
    • You are free to use our projector that project a back stage image of 21’x12′.
  • You’re never fully dressed without a smile!
    • We have a real dressing room with mirrors
  • A stage the size of your average 2 bedroom apartment in Manhattan.
    • No other festivals will offer you a stage like the one we build for you –  Our stage has….
      • A backstage walk-through between stage left and right.
      • Room in the wings.
      • Plenty of storage for your hand props that you will brint to the theater.
  • We offer very long techs 
    • Do you know how important it is to have 4 hours ( FOR FULL LENGTH PRODUCTIONS) in the theater to tech your show for free. We do not want you to run the risk of your show looking miserable during your run because you did not have enough time to prepare. We want you to feel confident with how it will look. That’s why we offer a generous amount of tech time.
  • We offer a large collection of props.
    • Some people can produce incredible shows with practically nothing onstage. But you have the option to use more than just 2 beat up cubes and 1 chair here.

  • PRIZES:
    • We offer up to $8,000 in Prizes.  Can you find another festival that gives away that much? Do you know how much work it takes to set up our festival?  Canvasses for projection, storing all year around all the props we offer, which we need a full 26′ long truck to be transported every time in and out of the theater. We repair and repaint all props all year around. It is at times exhausting and overwhelming – but – there is nothing more thrilling than serving our playwrights when they arrive.
