Angela Davis and George Jackson were two revolutionaries leading the Black Power movement in the 1960s and 1970s. The foundation of their revolutionary ire was love. With George in prison for his entire adult life, and Angela committed to his release, the revolution, the love; it was all wrapped up together. Angela and George is their story.

Lauren Marissa Smith is a playwright and screenwriter who focuses on creating provocative, raw, and humorous storytelling that amplifies the interior lives of those on the margins, particularly Black women and girls. Her work explores themes of love, relationships, intimacy, connection, and family while also examining the impact of incarceration, classism, and violence on oppressed communities.
