BIOGRAPHY:
Originally from Los Angeles, CA - he went to culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu and cooked around for about a decade. He eventually moved to New York in 2021 to pursue acting.
In an industry where being “chosen” is backwards, Ojan likes to write plays that feel like dark sitcoms where he and others can exist in and choose themselves.
Ojan creatively curates experiences by blending food, theatre and cinema into popups & experimental guerrilla shows. Projects include The Dinner Party - an immersive Halloween dinner & Unfinished which took place at the Herbert Von King park handball court, in the evening - an absurd cathartic piece led by song, sound, movement and comedy.
Ojan also dresses up as a man named Mr. Amir and sells corn around Brooklyn as a legitimate food vendor..
This play (Dead Sis) is his second play. He also debuted The Yard (3rd play) earlier this year - an Iranian/American play that’s half in Farsi and takes place in a graveyard.
