Blurb

Jihye throws the perfect housewarming party in her Manhattan apartment to prove she has the perfect life. Over one night, her marriage ends, her closest friendship turns out to be a lie, and the happy life she performed falls apart. A dark comedy about a Korean American woman and the pressure to look happy.

Bio.

Hemin Park is a Korean writer and filmmaker working across film, theater and any storytelling. Her screenplays have been recognized at international festivals, including an Award Winner honor at the New York International Film Awards. She writes about Korean American women and the gap between a public image and a private life. HOUSE WARMING IN MANHATTAN is drawn from her own life.
