BIOGRAPHY:
Hollyn Gayle is an AEA actor based in New York City. She is a fierce ingénue, giving characters with naiveté written into them a gritty, intelligent undertone. Hollyn earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Illinois University. She's won two Best Actress Awards from Broadway World-St. Louis for her portrayals of Violet in Violet and Celia in As You Like It, both at Ozark Actors Theatre. Hollyn toured China and Bahrain in the international tour of The Wizard of Oz as the Dorothy understudy. The show played 11 cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, over three months. Favorite credits include Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods at Dallas Theater Center, Violet in Violet and Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly!, both at Ozark Actors Theatre, and Georgiana in Georgiana and Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley at Shadowland Stages. Hollyn enjoys reading, creating literary themed products for her Etsy shop, and proof reading everything her husband writes. Called from darkness into marvelous light. Check her out on Instagram but please be warned that she posts once every 6 months.
