BIOGRAPHY:
Jamilah Muhammad is an actor, dancer, poet, and filmmaker from Winston-Salem. Believing that boundaries are meant to be pushed, she is devoted to creating art that authentically explores Black experiences through history, culture, and human connection.
Jamilah earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her recent UNCSA performance credits include Ramsay in Enron, Marie in Barbecue, Beverly in Fairview, and Caius Cassius in Julius Caesar.
In addition to acting, Jamilah made her directorial debut with Topdog/Underdog. She is also set to direct and star in The Maskless Elevator, premiering at the New York Theater Festival in June 2026.
