BIOGRAPHY:
Dianne K Ramirez is a dynamic artist originally from Trinidad and Tobago, currently residing in Harlem, NYC, with her daughter. She is a multifaceted talent, excelling as a writer, playwright, actor, director, and production manager. Dianne is renowned for her play Rotten Floorboards, which earned the prestigious NYFA fellowship in 2002. Listed among her credits as an actor are; The Plantation Play at the Manhattan Class Company, Borinquen at The Joseph Papp Public Theater. A Black Woman Speaks by Beah Richards at the 74th Street Studio. Directorial credits include The Nature and Purpose of the Universe by Christopher Durang, Home Free by Lanford Wilson and Night Mother by Marsha Norman. Listed among her film credits is The Skell where she played the principal role Kim in a short independent directorial debut film by actor Tim Kelleher. Dianne currently works in Theater and Film Production. as a versatile interdisciplinary freelance artist,Writer,Playwright, Actor, Director, Production Manager with over 10 years' experience in live theater operations, film, or other related fields Most recently as assistant director to the Artistic Director: Crystal Field for The annual Arts Festival at Theater for New City NYC . For many years prior, she worked at The Apollo Theater Foundation Inc. Dianne has also studied acting with Robert Patterson at The Patterson Studio and with the Pearl Lang Workshop at the Martha Graham Dance Studio and Acting and Directing with David Willinger.
