BIOGRAPHY:
She is a native New Yorker with Haitian roots. Daromie enjoys performing standup comedy, singing, acting, directing, producing, and dancing. Her one woman show Grown Adorable Adult, debuted on Theatre Row at the prestigious United Solo Theatre Festival. Daromie has taught the art of improvisation acting, spoken word, and play writing in over 15 New York City schools in addition to international programs in South Africa and Senegal. While directing one woman play Roots Rhythm and Revolutions for Makanda South Africa art festival she realized she wanted to impact and inspire the world through art and educatione kid at a time. She founded arts and social emotional development organiation called Choose Your Focus.
Daromie has enjoyed partnerships with Harlem School of the Arts (where she is an alumni), Purelements, 1199 SEIU, Classical Theater of Harlem, Ebu Kosini, Revolution to Inspire, NYU Skirball, Blackout Arts Collective, BAM/ Restoration to name a few. Daromie has appeared on NBC’s The Chew, FOX NFL commercial, VH1 White Rapper Show. Theatre projects include Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew, Lyistrata, About Atlanta, Godspell, What it Iz, Black Nativity, and For Colored Girls... Daromie also performs stand- up comedy and was delighted to be a finalist in NBC’s Stand up for Diversity festival.
