BIOGRAPHY:
Guil Parreiras is a writer/director/musician with a BFA in Film Studies (Columbia University) and an MFA in Creative Writing (The City College of New York). He also studied acting at the T. Schreiber Studio. Guil has directed many off-off Broadway productions in NYC, including "Cowboy Mouth," "4-H Club" and "Simpatico" by Sam Shepard; "Art as an Excuse to Drink and Screw" and "A Leg Up" by Craig McNulty.
He then went on to direct short film/video projects including "Venus Descending," "Click," "Shoplifters," "The Assistant," and the music video "Girl from Montreal" (Taylor & the Apes).
His TV pilot “Till Death Rip Us Apart” was a finalist in the 2025 Outstanding Screenplays TV Pilot Competition. His screenplay "Rock Is Dead" was a selection in the 2023 Beverly Hills FF, a semi-finalist in the 2023 Atlanta FF, a Top 50 Finalist in the ISA Fast Track Fellowship and a Second Rounder in the Austin FF. His short screenplays 'Another Day on the Line," "Jules and Jill" were semi-finalists in the Outstanding Screenplays Shorts Competition.
Film festivals include: YoFiFest, San Antonio FF, New Hope FF, Salerno IFF, Oaxaca FilmFest, Hollywood New Directors, Beverly Hills FF, among others.
