BIOGRAPHY:
Fitch Means is a Philadelphia-born, 2× Platinum–certified singer-songwriter, performer, and creative powerhouse whose work blends R&B, soul, pop, and hip-hop with emotionally rich storytelling. A member of the Recording Academy’s 2025 New Member Class, Fitch has built a dynamic artistic presence through his captivating vocal tone, polished stagecraft, and visionary approach to live performance and production.
His performance history spans major stages and cities, including opening for Larry June on the Orange Print Tour (DC – Union Stage, Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey), headlining venues across Philadelphia and New York, and delivering standout sets at the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival and Odunde Festival. Fitch’s artistic voice reflects resilience, fluidity, and intention—expressing queerness, identity, and personal triumph with honesty and finesse.
Beyond music, Fitch is a multidisciplinary creative who curates community-centered events, develops original fragrance lines (Vice & Magic), and builds platforms that uplift LGBTQ+ and BIPOC voices. His work merges artistry and entrepreneurship, creating immersive experiences that empower, inspire, and connect diverse audiences.
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Lock Haven University – 60 credits completed toward BA, Music studies; member of the Lock Haven University Official Choir with repertoire including Classical, Jazz, Soul, R&B, Pop, and Baroque.
School Choir & Early Training – Began performing in middle school and high school, including competitive ensembles and public performances across Philadelphia.
Performance Experience – Opened for Larry June on the Orange Print Tour; featured drummer for Jill Scott and the African Drum Line at age 12; extensive performance history across major venues (City Winery, The Novo, Silk City, Peacock Lounge, Wadsworth Day, Wildwood Festival, and more).
