Blurb

Jack & the Harp is a slice of the classic Jack and the Beanstalk, focusing on Jack’s encounter with the Giant’s magical talking harp. Together, they grapple with the price of freedom in a story of courage, risk, and self-discovery.

Bios.

Carlyn Jade Batya Barenholtz (Lyrics) is a New York-born performer, dramaturg, writer, and devisor. A Boston Conservatory @ Berklee alum, she specialized in devised theater and dramaturgy. She trains with Actor Therapy and BroadwayVox, works in Midtown hospitality, devours Kindle novels, and dotes on her cat Beatrice. Recently, she reclaimed her natural brunette hair with “true bravery.”

Clay Herzberg (Music) is an award-winning composer. His musicals include AIDEN (Winner! Short Play Festival NYC 2025, Lincoln Center 2023), The Legend of Rachel (Best Score Nominee), and The Amazons of Overcote High. A graduate of BPM College and Rubin Conservatory, he has trained with Ryan Scott Oliver and Lipper’s Workshop, and currently audits the BMI Musical Theater Workshop. @clayherzberg

Lucy Buchanan (Book) is a Kentucky-born actor, singer, and writer now based in NYC. A Belmont University BFA graduate, credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Tier5), The Beholden (Trapezoid), Julius Caesar (KY Shakespeare), and Macbeth (Nashville Shakespeare). She thrives in both classical and new works. Offstage, she’s found in bookstores, running, or with her cat Olive. @lucy_buchanan
