BIOGRAPHY:
Frances Rippy is a director, producer, dramaturg, performer, and cooperative theatre-maker originally from Louisville, KY based in Brooklyn, NY. They hope to create complex work infused with a sense of humor and play which inspires, excites, and expands our collective imagination. They are passionate about arts accessibility and ways to make theatre a more environmentally sustainable practice. Recent directing credits include $$$ Pig (24 Hour Plays: Nationals), Designs for Living (Boyz With Apple), True Crime (The Tank Limefest), and Purgatorio (Edinburgh Fringe Festival) among others. They are deeply indebted to their training at the Accademia dell'Arte in Arezzo, Italy; Vassar College; Walden Theatre Conservatory; Williamstown Theatre Festival; Kentucky Shakespeare Festival; Shakespeare & Company under the great Tina Packer; and the daily education of running Boyz With Apple with Naomi Friedman.
