BIOGRAPHY:
Daniel Hirsh is an actor from Whitefish Bay (Milwaukee), Wisconsin, who has been calling NYC home for the last six years. Starting theater in 1998, previous Off-Broadway work includes “Backyard,” “PimComedy,” and off-off-Broadway in “The Hourglass,” “The Wicked Fresh Awesome Dance Party,” “The Spirit of Truth” and “Save the Penguins.” Daniel has also been in films and TV shows, most notably “Broadcast” with Eric Roberts, and a dead body on “SVU.” He’s best known for originating the title role in Tennessee Williams’ “Me, Vashya” in 2004.
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
Daniel was trained as an actor and singer at Washington University in St. Louis’ Performing Arts Department from 2001 to 2005. He also attended a summer intensive at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, and a six-week intensive with Atlantic Acting School in NYC. He continues to focus on voice and Alexander work.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Daniel can come up with around 40 vocal dialects, characters or impressions but they usually require explanation. He’s a trained videographer and video editor, draws cartoons as a hobby, and is learning tap dance.
